DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are looking for a talented Business Analyst to join our team for our Engineering department. This role is based in Columbus Indiana and offers a hybrid schedule and may require some travel for yearly meetings.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Function as a subject matter expert(SME) with experience in the design and definition of business processes supporting the engineering function, and Cummins’ product design and development processes.
• Demonstrate familiarity with defining business needs and turning those needs into functional requirements for implementation in modern product lifecycle management software applications.
• Demonstrate familiarity with process definition based on established functional excellence best practices, and the transformation of existing /legacy processes and tools into modern PLM tools such as Windchill.
• Demonstrate familiarity with lean and process efficiency analysis skills are preferred in this role. Six sigma process analysis tools and experience with re-engineering processes is highly needed.
• Demonstrate familiarity with business process transformation based on business needs, and process definition based on established functional excellence best practices, and the transformation of business processes.
• Demonstrate familiarity with integration of business processes, both “upstream” and “downstream” of the target applications, integration of the supporting IT solutions and tools.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• College, university, or equivalent to Bachelors’ Degree and Client/account management experience along with a minimum of five years’ relevant and applicable experience
• Experience with Integration of business processes, supporting IT solutions and tools
• Be familiar with topics like product definition, product configuration, and the structure to define product compatibility
• Experience in the areas of product definition, business process definition and the overall supporting data structure, also experience with modern PLM tools, and Windchill

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
