Job title: In-house Editor & Copywriter
Job type: 12 month fixed-term contract, full-time (35 hours per week)
Salary: £38,000- £40,000 p.a.
Location: Reading (with flexibility for home working)

We are looking for an experienced Editor and Copywriter to join our corporate Marketing team based in Reading. This is a 12-month contract role, which will expose the postholder to the full diversity of our work internationally. The postholder is the voice of the organisation, writing and publishing for maximum impact across a wide range of channels and markets.
Based in our head office in Reading (with flexibility for home working) you will join a small, busy team to help bring the brand, the ambition and the impact of the organisation to life. You will work closely with the In-house Graphic Designer, and report to the Senior Marketing Manager.
The successful candidate will:
– Be experienced in delivering a wide range of high-quality writing projects, including reports, speeches, blogs, press briefings, web copy and social posts, often working with technical content, therefore knowledge of education and/or international development would be highly beneficial
– Work confidently with colleagues at all levels of the organisation to develop the organisation’s tone of voice, and to help embed this
– Be able to demonstrate cultural sensitivity working with a diverse international team
– Have a good working knowledge of the B2B marketing discipline, especially the role of brand in supporting organisational growth
– Have excellent written English skills to a proven high level, with an ability to write in a succinct and persuasive manner for mixed audiences and diverse channels
– Be able to challenge diplomatically, and arrive at a consensus.
Closing date: 4th November 2021.
Interviews will take place over the 8th and 10th November.
