Full-Time Corporate Counsel

RTI – Posted by rtirecruiting Sunnyvale, California, United States

Job Description

Ever ask yourself why you went to law school? There are of course many career options; the challenge is to find one that inspires your passion and realizes your potential. If you haven’t yet found your journey, we may just have the perfect fit for your next step.

In the next 10 years, cars will safely drive themselves, smart networked medical devices will improve patient care, defense systems will protect with lower cost and error, and power systems will better use renewables. Real-Time Innovations (RTI) supplies the world’s number one software framework for autonomy, with over 1,700 designs. We lead the transition to intelligent real-world systems, the most important technology trend for the next decade and beyond.

In our mission to enable a new generation of intelligent distributed systems, RTI boldly seeks to transform entire industries. We particularly seek applications that promote a sustainable, safe, green, and healthy planet. Today, AI is restricted to the cloud.  RTI will let AI step out of the cloud. And that will make everything safer, faster, cleaner, and better.

RTI is a fast-growing technology company, headquartered in Silicon Valley with employees in 23 states and 7 countries.  We have an amazing opportunity, and we need a legal teammate to help us capture it.  This is your chance to join our small legal team and learn corporate law in all its aspects, from IP to governance to HR to international business.

We offer the best of post-pandemic work-life balance.  We support unlimited work from home, fully remote location, in-office work, or any combination.  We offer “team weeks” so you can grow to know your coworkers without missing out on growing your family. We even pay an extra bonus if you take uninterrupted vacations. RTI is certified Great Place to Work, holds a top rating on Glassdoor, and is listed as one of the Best Companies for Women to Advance.  At RTI, you can get off the billing treadmill and work in a positive, supportive, diverse environment with a team that cares about you.

We need you to hold a JD and bar admission in California or Colorado, or the ability to practice law in-house in California.  You should have some experience as in-house counsel or at a law firm working with corporate clients. Experience in our particular areas is a plus: automotive, medical, or government business, HR and business in Europe or Asia, or technology companies.  But we are willing to train. We’re looking for someone who wants to learn, to work together as one with a top team, and to do a great job in pursuit of an outstanding, meaningful mission.  Most importantly, we are looking for someone who fits our core values, especially our philosophy to Enjoy the Journey.

If that’s why you went to law school, please apply.
