Full-Time Underwriter – Customer Service

As an Underwriter, you will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing and issuing decisions for our insurance program originated from the Partner channels. The Underwriter determines and assesses the overall fraud and risk profile with sound analytics, supported by documentation. You’ll work closely with the Lead Underwriter to recognize risk trends across various partners, and identify ways to improve the underwriting models. In addition, you’ll be handling customer interactions across all channels, and ensuring our customer experience is as positive as possible.

 

This role will primarily have a Thursday-Monday work week. Standard weekday hours will be from noon-8pm PT and weekend hours will be 8am-4pm PT.  As the needs of the business can change during times of peak volume, the schedule may also fluctuate to meet those needs.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Review TrustScore profiles and make rapid & accurate decisions based on risk data and established guidelines
  • Handling Customer Support functions through email, chat, and phone
  • Facilitate customer-centric behaviors and a superior customer experience for both internal and external customers
  • Demonstrate time management for handling necessary customer outreach and reviewing policies within established service level agreements
  • Help drive continual improvement and operations excellence – own process development, and quality assurance

What you’ll need:

  • 3+ years of Customer Service experience
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills 
  • Self-motivation and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
