Full-Time Executive Associate Athletic Director – Senior Woman Administrator (SWA)

Job Description

The successful candidate will serve as the Athletic Department’s Senior Woman Administrator providing direct oversight, strategic planning, policy development, budget, and personnel management for all athletic performance areas. They will also serve as a sport administrator providing leadership, oversight, and evaluation of intercollegiate teams; will represent the Athletic Department on various university, conference, and national committees; and will be responsible for various administrative duties as assigned by the Vice Chancellor – Director of Athletics.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Senior Woman Administrator.
  • Provide administrative and strategic leadership for the department by serving as a member of the Senior Staff.
  • Serve as Sport Administrator for the Men’s Basketball program.
  • Serve as Sport Administrator for the Indoor and Beach Volleyball programs.
  • Oversee and evaluate Athletic Medicine.
  • Oversee and evaluate the Performance Lab.
  • Oversee and evaluate Sports Psychology.
  • Oversee and evaluate Strength and Conditioning.
  • Oversee and evaluate Performance Nutrition/Lewis Training Table.
  • Monitor gender equity to ensure Title IX Compliance.
  • Serve on the Big Ten Sports Management Committee.
  • Serve on the University’s Intercollegiate Athletics Committee.
  • Responsible for maintaining compliance of departmental, institutional, conference, and national rules and regulations.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Vice Chancellor – Director of Athletics.

 

The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree plus five years of progressively responsible related intercollegiate athletics experience. Sports oversight and departmental supervision experience are also required.

The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree, SWA experience, and seven years of progressively responsible related intercollegiate experience.
