We are currently acting for a leading company in tourism industry who are looking to hire an interim Data Privacy Lawyer to join their team for a 3–6-month contract.
Successful applicants will be:
- Focused and pragmatic advice on the implementation and impact of GDPR and European/UK privacy laws to business and product teams.
- Serving as a subject matter expert on privacy-by-design and privacy-by-default reviews, privacy impact assessments, and data protection impact assessments.
- Providing expert advice on data processing agreements and data transfer assessments
- Providing carefully thought through advice on complaints received from European data regulators, and support to our paralegal and customer services teams on responses to users raising non routine privacy issues and concerns.
Critical skills we need any candidates to have include:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to provide business focused advice under time pressure essential.
- Good virtual network building skills – critical as we’re all working on Zoom at the moment as part of the global privacy team at Airbnb.
- Self-starting, proactive, driven, adaptable person who can, with poise and patience, prioritize and manage multiple projects and recalibrate advice in view of shifting priorities, legal developments and risk tolerance
