Full-Time Export Controls Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a talented Export Controls Manager to join our team specializing in Logistics for our Corporate Office in Columbus, Indiana. This role is 100% remote with periodic travel post-pandemic.

 

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

 

• Develop, maintain and execute a strong understanding of export control laws and regulations related to defense and dual-use products and registrations required to maintain compliance globally. Communicates important changes to relevant laws and regulations; reviews license and registration applications and supporting data; prepares and reviews documentation needed to support compliance.

 

• Manage the Product Controls lane in the Export Controls Team which entails managing the defense programs, classification of products, licensing, site controls, recordkeeping, and reporting to government agencies.

 

• Monitors export control laws and regulations pertaining to licensing and communicates important changes to relevant laws and regulations.

 

• Investigates potential regulatory violations and supports the disclosure process at the direction of legal.

 

• Works with legal function and outside counsel for guidance

 

• Manages and monitors outsourcing of work as needed.

 

• Manages and monitors progress for their own and team projects to enable the Export Controls team to improve our compliance programs.

 

• Support and update the Defense Council to ensure they are aware of compliance measures for their programs and we can anticipate any changes to programs that may be needed.

 

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

* Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Defense, Legal, Regulatory Trade or International Business. Emphasis in International Trade or Export Compliance would be a plus.

* 5+ years Project Management or relevant work experience, including supervisory experience.

* Military background would be a plus.

* Detail oriented, self-driven and excellent communication skills.

 

Compensation and Benefits

 

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
