Job Description

We are looking for a talented Fuel Cell Stack Mechanical Designer to join our team specializing in Hydrogen Fuel Cells for our #NewPower Business Unit in Mississauga, Ontario.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• This position is responsible for the detailed design and development of both new and existing graphite bi-polar plate technology.
• The primary focus includes the next generation graphite plate architecture for the heavy-duty fuel cell market.
• Additional responsibilities include design support for engineering changes on existing graphite platforms, to advance both R&D level as well as production level products.
• Candidates may be asked to work in multiple 3D design software’s. Proficiency with Creo, Solid Edge, and Unigraphics NX may be required as we continue to optimize our best practices for proficient bi-polar plate development.
• Due to the complexity and accuracy required of the bi-polar plate features and surfaces, strong candidates are required to demonstrate knowledge of advanced design principals. This includes the ability to develop and implement analysis driven parametric functions to isolate, modify, and reconfigure sections of complex solid bodies to reduce computational time and errors.
• Ability to independently perform analysis lead design through the use of CFD and FEA is considered an asset.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• University Degree in Mechanical Enginering is required
• Prior Senior or Lead Engineer equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area is required with a demonstrated track record of technical problem solving and quality decision making.
• Knowledge of Solidedge or CREO tools is preferred.
