This is an exciting opportunity in Galesburg, Michigan for a Senior Project Manager- Purchasing.
Your impact will happen in these and other ways:
• Lead global supply chain and cross functional teams on multiple projects to support ECJV portfolio execution, owning project scope, cost, and overall timing.
• Develops performance metrics, manages tracking and communication of performance against the program metrics with senior leadership, internal and external stakeholders regularly
• Proactively monitor and resolve daily risks which could impact supply continuity. Works to anticipate, communicate and mitigate future risks to projects; ability to find quick resolution
• Manage multi-million-dollar project budgets including supply chain expenses and capital spending for supply chain related projects
• Actively captures and shares best practices within project team and program management team to foster a continuous learning environment
• Can motivate a team and successfully drive for results through others
• Clearly able to communicate and quantify program trade-offs when making decisions
• Identify and execute functional excellence projects to build organizational capabilities within the SCM function
• Review, craft and implement documentation and agreements related to conducting business with suppliers
• Engage with cross-functional stakeholders to advise and steer source selection process for NPD initiatives
Experience
• 10+ years of relevant project management experience and executing projects on time
• Significant level of leadership experience
• Experience planning large project, working through ambiguity and developing a clear project scope.
• Manage and resolve risks that come up on a daily basis and looking into the future to mitigate future risks to projects; ability to find quick resolution
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate to all levels of the organization on program status
• Proficient in Microsoft Project
Education, Licenses, Certifications
College, university, or equivalent Bachelor’s degree
