About the role
Job title: Employment Coordinator, (FTS) Future Teaching Scholars Programme
Job type: Permanent, full-time
Salary: £24,000- £28,000 p.a.
Location: Reading (with some flexibility for remote working)

On behalf of the UK’s Department for Education, Education Development Trust is delivering the Future Teaching Scholars Programme, a route into teaching for passionate maths and physics students to create a new generation of competent, confident and highly skilled teachers.
As Employment Coordinator you will engage with and build up a bank of schools in appropriate areas across the country that are interested in engaging with the Future Teaching Scholars programme.  You will be supporting Scholars through their initial teacher training year and identifying employment opportunities, working closely with them to understand their preferences in terms of location etc. You will develop a resourcing strategy, taking a proactive and highly visible approach to developing working relationships with employers, including providing feedback and reviewing arrangements.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has the experience of working within a recruitment / resourcing high volume, client facing environment preferably in an educational context. Someone who is confident to work across multiple schools to successfully source, match and place Scholars to employment opportunities in accordance with agreed delivery plans, ensuring that they are given the best possibility of being shortlisted for vacancies within the schools. Someone who will ensure Scholars are prepared for interview – this will include providing guidance on writing CVs, reviewing CVs where required and providing guidance on interview processes and approaches.
