Full-Time Digital Media Developer

Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Online Education, the Digital Media Developer will provide expert creative services to faculty and the Online Education team in support of online course development. The candidate’s proven skills in creating rich digital media content will enrich each lesson and course with video and interactive visual elements. The Digital Media Developer will collaborate with faculty and the Online Education Team to understand the vision for each course and work within project scope to create high quality, inclusive and accessible audio, video and interactive lessons. The Digital media developer will be responsible for the full project cycle of digital media development from concept to post-production to delivery in the learning management system (LMS) or through live conferencing platforms. The Digital media developer will implement best practices for attributing, tagging and archiving curated and created digital media content.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Produce (shoot, edit, and package) compelling video content for Mailman School of Public Health online courses
  • Create effective and engaging infographics, motion graphics and animations for lessons
  • Gather and tag assets, and manage digital media archive for unit, including both created and curated content for all courses; ensure copyright attributions and compliance for all digital media integrations into courses and lessons
  • Build lessons and courses using Articulate 360 and digital media asset packages
  • Coordinate integration of audio, video and interactive lesson components into learning management system (LMS) and live conferencing sessions
  • Create highlight reels and showcases for marketing of online offerings
  • Assist with asset collection, interviews, and research in working with outside creative partners (vendors)
  • Collaborate with the Online Education Team to ensure the timely and successful launch of high quality, inclusive and accessible courses
  • Other project support (trafficking materials and versions, managing timelines, scopes)
