JOB FAMILY DESCRIPTION

Serves as Product Owner responsible for formulating user stories, acceptance criteria and managing a backlog of prioritized work for one or more agile teams for Black Knight Mobile product development.

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works within a team to define and refine User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
  • Serves as “voice of the customer” to help the agile team understand the value of the work they are delivering
  • Builds, edits and maintains team backlog
  • Prioritizes team backlog, including user and technical enabler stories
  • Coordinates dependencies within and across agile teams
  • Assists team in writing Acceptance Criteria that facilitates automated testing to ensure enhancements made to applications meet client needs and that application integrity is maintained.
  • Influences Product Managers regarding Product priorities, roadmap and vision
  • Consults directly with the client on tactical issues related to the Product
  • Acts as servant leader for the team. May mentor, guide, advise and/or check the work of other Product Owners.
  • May play a key role in the training of client and technical support personnel on enhancements, new systems or procedures.
  • May serve as pre-sales support specialist when needed.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

EDUCATIONAL GUIDELINES

A Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

Any SAFe Certifications are preferred for this position.

At least one additional Agile Certification is a plus for this position.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Proficiency in authoring user stories and acceptance criteria using GWT format
  • Knowledge of the tools, techniques and principles used in Lean-Agile development
  • Experience with Mobile app development and distribution a plus
  • Experience with RTC or TFS (Azure DevOps) desired
  • Familiarity working with Java or similar software applications a plus
  • Understanding of how API’s are delivered a plus
  • Any Mortgage or Financial Technology industry experience a plus
  • Familiarity with Black Knight products and services a plus
  • Experience with Mortgage Servicing products or working on B2B consumer applications a plus
  • Working knowledge of mortgage-and home-equity services industry and associated regulatory and compliance requirements a plus
  • Excellent customer service skills that build high levels of customer satisfaction for internal and external clients
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization (e.g., executive, management, individual contributors)
  • Willingly shares relevant knowledge and expertise to other resources
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, interpersonal, team, negotiation, conflict management and time management skills
  • Ability to persuade and influence others on the best approach to take
  • Is resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideas

JOB FAMILY LEVEL

Intermediate professional role. Moderate skills with high level of proficiency. Develops and implements solutions that require analysis and research. Works on small to large, complex projects that require increased skill in one or more technologies. Possesses knowledge in a specific business area. Works on one or more projects as a team member or occasionally as a project lead. Works under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment. May consult with senior peers on certain projects. Typically requires at least three years of demon strated product owner/business analysis/consulting experience with a desired three years of mortgage and home equity services consulting or management experience, and demonstrated technical capabilities.
