We are looking for a talented Strategy Director to join our team specializing in new business opportunities for Cummins Sales & Service North America (CSSNA) in Indianapolis, IN working from your home office (with travel).
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
* Identifies major strategic opportunities that affect the industry within Cummins Sales & Service.
* Lead and direct multiple business strategy projects with direct leadership of significant work streams.
* Projects may be within a market segment, across multiple market segments, or involve the creation of a new business venture, such as a joint venture, equity alliance, M&A, etc.
* Work closely with segment leaders, functional leaders and key internal and external stakeholders.
* Leads and directs teams in the design and development of strategy through qualitative and quantitative analysis.
* Applies strategic frameworks to analyze opportunities and develop solutions; synthesizes environmental data, stakeholder analysis, and market force data as a part of the financial and business analysis necessary to develop insights and solutions to support strategic business decisions.
* Communicates complex strategy topics clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences through both written and oral communication.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
* Articulating value proposition – interprets internal and external customer needs based on relevant application; explains and demonstrates products, solutions, and services to distinguish strengths and weaknesses to meet customer’s specific needs to differentiate against competition.
* Financial acumen – interpreting and applying understanding of key financial indicators to make better business decisions.
* Strategic mindset – seeing ahead to future possibilities and translating them into breakthrough strategies.
* Manages complexity – making sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.
Education/Experience
* College, university, or equivalent degree in technical or a related subject required.
* MBA or equivalent degree highly preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
