Position Overview & Requirements
Weber Gallagher has an immediate opening for a full-time workers’ compensation paralegal for our Philadelphia, PA office. Qualified candidate must possess at least three years of experience in PA workers’ compensation defense law and a thorough understanding of workers’ compensation, time entries and billing experience to meet daily billable hour’s requirement. Qualified candidate must also have strong organizational skills; able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to prioritize and manage time efficiently, have initiative and strong communication skills; and work well with co-workers. Qualified candidate should be able to work independently with assignment-based tasks, strong attention to details required and have familiarity with concepts, terminology and procedures of workers’ compensation functions and WCAIS. Candidate must have familiarity with obtaining medical records including follow up, following deadlines, organization of medical records, preparing medical index, and discovery production process.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required. A Certificate in Paralegal Studies from an ABA approved organization or a bachelor’s degree is also required.
