Job Description
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a dynamic and target oriented Area Sales Manager who will contribute to the further business growth by providing premier customer service and developing strong relationships with our clients in spare parts business.
Managing and expanding a valued portfolio of customers in north Italy and other south European countries, this independent position sits within our distribution business unit, based in Milan or your remote home office in North Italy with national and international travel expected.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Manage customer relationships to achieve sales goals and executing sales plans within assigned sales territories.
• Evaluate the markets to identify and approach potential opportunities, collaborating with key stakeholders to develop sales strategies and action plans to achieve optimum results by measuring, analyzing and reporting sales figures on regular basis.
• Grow and establish positive customer relations in existing accounts. Utilize customer satisfaction tools to measure satisfaction and create action plans for improvement where necessary.
• Guide and coordinate all communication and interfaces with the customers at all levels and provide individual solution & technical support.
• Support in the negotiation and implementation of contracts, including payment terms and accounts receivable deliverables.
• Improve understanding of customer needs and priorities to create opportunities to increase sales by identifying and presenting appropriate Cummins solutions with a focus on value proposition.
• Report activity via the Customer Relationship Management tool per management direction, produce sales forecasts as directed and provide input to the overall strategy plan.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• A technical mindset and existing sales and account management experience within aftermarket, spare parts, automotive, power generation and similar business segments are strongly preferred.
• Must be willing to travel up to 30-50% to visit client sites, driving license is required.
• Very good Italian and English language skills.
• Natural relationship building skills with a desire to provide a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Commercially aware with a genuine passion for the industry and the brand, growing the market share and increasing Cummins presence.
