FTE: 1.0
Salary Range: $76,841 – $96,052
Essential Functions and Objectives:
Responsible for managing all releases to department technical environments for projects and operations activities with a goal of improving release quality, reducing system downtime and emergency changes and increased process consistency. Serves as the central point for planning and approvals relative to all promotions to all environments.
– Oversees all builds and deployment of releases to department environments.
– Responsible for scheduling, executing, and documenting software build processes; packages builds for release and ensures appropriate project documentation is available for each new build or release.
– Actively participates in the establishment, improvement, documentation, communication and enforcement of release and change management processes for software, hardware and systems.
– Reports on release status of development, test and production environments.
– Maintains the release management calendar.
– Audits, recommends and implements processes (manual and automated), procedures and tools to continue to improve and increase efficiency of the configuration and release management processes, including change control, go/no-gos, and release planning.
– Provides training on the release and change management processes.
– Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) for the application hosting the change control process.
– Provides metrics reporting to department leadership, as needed.
Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:
– Two (2) or more years of web-based applications, databases, infrastructure experience.
– Four (4) or more years of experience managing complex implementations with system integrations/dependencies.
– Software Development Lifecycle experience preferred, including waterfall, iterative, and agile.
– Ability to assess appropriate priorities and organize workload on multiple assignments.
– Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office products and/or Project Management Software (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint), as well as Google Suite.
– Excellent interpersonal, analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
– Communicates diplomatically, persuasively, effectively oral, written and presentation skills.
– Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines.
– Strong attention to detail.
– Ability to develop, plan, and implement short and long-range goals, establish priorities and organize resources.
– Ability to provide creative, solution-oriented support to complex situations.
– Experience with automating manual processes, preferred.
Education Requirements:
– Bachelor’s Degree is required.
– Master’s Degree is preferred.
