Full-Time Director of Global Finance Shared Services
Job Description
We are looking for a talented Director of Global Finance Shared Services to join our corporate business services team based in Nashville, Tennessee.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
* Provide strategic and business leadership in establishing procedures, standardizing and digitizing transactional processing, and supporting efforts to transform financial shared services for Cummins Inc. The goal of the transformation is to simplify and standardize processes, improve employee experience, reduce company risk and modernize our functional structure while improving transactional costs.
* Partner with the Business Service Regional Controllers, Finance IT leadership, Treasury and the transformation office.
* Maintain a thorough understanding of existing policies, accounting principles, processes, and systems with a focus on simplifying, standardizing, automating and implementing best practices globally.
* Maintain a strong focus on best in class execution and deliver short term results and successes while moving towards the long-term vision.
* Improve internal control environment to more efficiently monitor transaction risk and financial exposure.
* Develops and monitors service level agreements including meaningful metrics and service pricing.
* Provide oversite to the global budgeting and strategic simulation processes, including input on efficiency improvement.
* Manage strategic third -party suppliers for financial services.
* Serve as a Finance thought leader and technical resource, guide and influence people, processes, and resources to support the best interests of the business. Build trusting relationships with Finance leaders and partners.
* Present ideas with a compelling business case, and appropriate persistence that shapes the opinions of stakeholders; position proposals by linking to others’ needs and concerns.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
* Bachelor’s degree in a business, financial or related field or equivalent work experience (finance/accounting degree, CPA and/or MBA preferred).
* Collaborates building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
* Excellent Communications skills and ability to listen to key stakeholders
* Global perspective – uses a global lens and takes a broad view when approaching issues.
* Excellent business acumen – making the right calls at the right time.
* Business partnering and strong customer service focused.
* Think analytically, focus on the big picture, and able to drill into the detail and understand the impact. Understand how the business works and the upstream and downstream activities that impact and are impacted by Finance.
* Drives vision and purpose.
* Experience in managing and/or transforming a Finance Shared Service Center highly preferred.
