We’re currently looking for a variety of talented individuals to join our dedicated team.
Works closely with Learning A-Z personnel and project teams to create resources for the suite of Learning A-Z products for print and online. Prepares files per Learning A-Z specifications. Works primarily with InDesign templates utilizing master pages, and paragraph and character styles, and works with all other Adobe Creative Cloud software. Presents and discusses concepts and ideas of ideation through execution, while handling a large number of projects with attention to detail and brand guidelines. Provide clear and consistent verbal and written communication both internally and externally.
Job Responsibilities
- Layout and design a host of educational resources (books, worksheet, quizzes, etc.) in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat software
- Follow LAZ standards, keeping current on new standards and practices
- Organize, prioritize, and track resources as they move through the production process towards completion using Filemaker, Excel, and Google docs
- Participate in production as well as developmental meetings as required
- Create prototypes for new materials as requested
- Making non-destructive edits to photos using Photoshop or illustrations using Illustrator
- Create maps, charts, and other visual devices in accordance with LAZ styles.
- Update, correct or modify existing resources as required
Job Requirements
- Highly proficient in MAC ecosystem, Google Suite, Microsoft Office software and Adobe Creative Cloud applications specializing in InDesign, InCopy, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat Pro
- Experience working on multiple projects and prioritizing to meet deadlines
- Ability to clearly communicate status, issues, and risks.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent
- 3-5 years of publishing experience preferred
