Job Description
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for an agile Project Manager for our technical R&D projects in hydrogen fuel cell power technology for our New Power Business Unit in Gladbeck, Germany. This position has an employment contract with definite period of 2 years with high probability to extend it to indefinite period.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Manage, develop and implement R&D projects of varying complexity and size in hydrogen fuel cell and electrified power technology for commercial vehicles and cooperate with business stakeholders to ensure a successful project completion.
• Lead multiple prototyping projects, facilitate project planning sessions with internal stakeholders to determine the scope and objectives of each project, work with business stakeholders to establish project performance goals, design and maintain clear project plan and schedule, develop timeline, identify project milestones, and track performance against performance goals and timeline to assure on time delivery.
• Work within agreed project budgets, P&L objectives, managing and controlling costs accordingly.
• Manage project risk, use quality tools to identify areas of risk, work with others on the team and outside the team to identify alternatives or solutions.
• Manage and report on project performance, identifying opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and business performance.
• Forge close working relationships with your clients, being a trusted point of contact and continuously striving for a high standard of client satisfaction.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• MSc. Degree in engineering is strongly preferred, or equivalent Project Management work experience within heavy duty, automotive or related technical industry, coming from OEM environment is strongly preferred.
• Must be willing to travel min. 40% to visit client sites, once safe to do so.
• Fluent English & communicative German language skills.
• Knowledge of MS Office, MS Project or similar Project management tools.
• Natural communication and interpersonal skills with ability to clearly explain complex technical issues and desire to provide a high level of customer satisfaction, commercially aware with a genuine passion for the industry and the brand.
