DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a talented CBS North America General Accounting Leader to join our team specializing in Finance for our Cummins Business Services in Nashville, TN.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Responsible for performing and/or overseeing highly specialized accounting work required to maintain the department’s general ledger. Is also in-charge of resolving complex accounting issues resulting from routine and non-routine accounting transactions.
• Manages a team of accountants and/or a complex process that interacts with multiple individuals outside of the department.
• Ensures the timely recording, analyzing, and reporting of accounting transactions.
Reviews general ledger entries, account reconciliations, internal and external reports, schedules, and statements.
• Responds to inquiries received from management, internal and external auditors, Sarbanes-Oxley audit group and others regarding financial results, special reporting requests, etc.
• Makes and implements recommendations to improve accounting processes and procedures. Implements new accounting standards.
• Provides training to new and existing staff as needed. Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. As well as 7-10 years in a Accounting or Finance role. Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Chartered Accountant or similar certification.
• Strong leadership skills with hands on experience leading a larger team. Proven experience in team development
• Proven financial analysis and analytical skills
• Shared services, Automation, Six Sigma and Process Improvement Skills preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
