Job Description
The AVP / Business Analyst Testing Lead provides full leadership in the UAT and other testing activities as part of regular release for Citi’s suite of Project Management (PM) Tools. Serves as an integral part of the Enterprise Tools & Reporting (ETR) team in the area of testing and quality assurance. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge through provision of value-added perspectives or advisory services. May contribute to the development of new techniques, models and plans within the testing area. Position requires strong communication and diplomacy skills. Generally has responsibility for quality, and timeliness of end results of UAT.
Responsibilities:
- Leads User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process and product rollout into production.
- Coordinates UAT testing activities between multiple client teams in addition to tracking and monitoring team progress to ensure proper coverage and progress.
- Works with technology project managers, UAT professionals and users to design and implement appropriate scripts/plans for an application testing strategy/approach.
- Resolves variable and complex UAT related issues with substantial potential impact.
- Independently and proactively manages, assesses, prioritizes, follows up on and helps bring to closure issues impacting UAT efforts.
- Improves process efficiencies in support of unit Testing objectives; recommends and implements new work procedures.
- Exhibits good understanding of concepts and procedures within own Testing area.
- Develops testing standards and ensures compliance to the standards.
- Uses evaluative judgment in complicated or novel situations; uses multiple sources of information.
- Presents UAT status updates to management with appropriate level detail and completion plans.
- Produces data analysis reports/views per Business needs.
- Regularly monitors testing progress and timely escalation of issues jeopardizing the deliverables.
- Runs status and other readiness meetings to bring all stakeholders on the same page and communicate out plan/changes as and when required.
- Manages and maintain repository of Testing artifacts.
- Performs other duties and functions as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years experience within a testing environment.
- In-depth understanding of Systems Development Life Cycle processes.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Financial services experience preferred
- Quick learner and willingness to understand diverse functions.
- Proactive attitude and sense of ownership pertaining to deliverables
- Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency Excel (Macros, Pivots and charts), Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project
- Requires communication and diplomacy skills and an ability to persuade and influence.
