Salary Range: $63,852 – $77,316

  

Essential Functions and Objectives:

In support of the District’s planning for and execution upon strategic initiatives, position supports district-wide planning & analysis as a member of the Financial Services Department.  Position reports to the Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis.  Supports the 5-Year Planning process for the District including budget development, monitoring, and communicating with key constituents.  Position is entrusted with the preparation, consolidation, analysis and documentation of financial data used to: summarize, measure and evaluate status of district initiatives and budgets; identify and assess variances; and forecast financial results.  Accordingly, position is to work closely with school and department leadership in order to develop and maintain multi-year and multi-fund financial forecasts which senior management and Board of Education may rely upon to drive performance and make informed decisions.  Position supports Senior Manager of FP&A in their analysis of district-wide financial performance.

– Will be expected to develop and maintain a rolling five-year budget forecast model including revenue and expenditures.

 Monitor and report on status ofDistrict-wide Cash Flow.. 

 Liaison with school and department leaders for the tracking projects against budget projections.

Provide financial support to departments.

Support the Senior Manager of FP&A in their reporting to oversight committees and other key constituents.

 Assist in the development and management of district-wide budgets including but not limited to developing amended budget presentations and resolutions for Board of Education as needed.

Work products must be regarded as accurate, complete and timely.

 Identify and research financial status, anomalies, risks and solutions. 

Collaborative, team-oriented work with Financial Partner Network expected.

 Document process and procedures, implement process improvements and retain documentation as required.

Import / export raw data from computer systems and organize into user friendly reports/forms.

 Use Microsoft Excel to build and maintain input driven, dynamic, and flexible financial models.

Perform other duties as assigned.

  

Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:

 

3 years of experience in financial forecasting, modeling, budget analysis, or entity-wide accounting preferred.

Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.

Possess strong mathematical and analytic skills.

Demonstrated proficiency with financial accounting software packages.

High level of Microsoft Excel skills required.

Experience and proficiency with other Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Access and PowerPoint).

Knowledge of school district business and financial practices and procedures.

Knowledge of budgetary procedures and District budget categories.

Proficient with bookkeeping and accounting software.

Ability to safeguard confidential information.

Ability to think clearly in stressful situations; a high stress tolerance required.

Demonstrated creativity and flexibility in problem solving and project collaboration.

Ability to be accurate and pay attention to details.

Ideal candidate would be deadline-oriented and take ownership of their work products.

 

Education Requirements:

 

Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field.
