Job Description
We are looking for a talented Senior Machining Manufacturing Engineer to join our team specializing in Machining for our Manufaturing business in Columbus, IN.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
* Determines parts and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals such as setup reduction and changeovers according to product specification; works with engineering to identify problems with product and performance and recommends solutions or enhancements
* Designs, develops, implements, and analyzes technical products and systems
* Performs equipment engineering design evaluations and documents results; recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures
* Coaches and mentors less experienced team members
* Works to improve equipment availability and capability by utilizing continuous improvement tools and working cross functionally
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
* Minimum of 5+ years for relevant experience to include prior machining and gauge experience
* Solid verbal and written communication skills with technical writing background
* Prior project management experience
* Familiar with some common problem solving and statistics tools, include but not limited to 6-sigma, 7 steps, Minitab
* Robot/Cobot utilization experience, or I4.0 relative project experience will be preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
