Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Process Engineer to participate in the development of our new Proton Exchange Membrane Electrolyzer platform. This opportunity is part of our new power business unit, in Oevel, Belgium.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Apply specialized knowledge of process engineering principles and design practices, to create design concepts and specifications considering application, cost, weight, performance, reliability, durability, manufacturing, assembly, and serviceability. • Communicate the capability of the design concept to meet cross-functional requirements including adherence to engineering standards and collaborate effectively with other engineering and cross-functional disciplines to support resolution of product issues.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to communicate the component and subsystem design intent through a thorough Design Review package to the Product Preceding Technology, (PPT), New Product Introduction (NPI), or Value Package Change Request (VPCR) team requiring a such holistic assessment of various design concepts.
• Own the design decision making in the areas of component and subsystem design concept selection, concept optimization, and design specifications that impact customers targeted to be served by a given PPT, NPI, or VPCR initiative.
• Apply processes and tools to enable high quality subsystem-level design decision making and design refinement.
• Delivers execution of established and emerging work processes and systems, while still developing technology or product knowledge.
• Provides support and guidance to influence technical direction within a project team and continues to develop skills critical to success in the role.
• Operates as a recognized specialist in a discipline or product area within the immediate team.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• An Engineering degree such as Mechanical, Process, Chemicals or Systems is required.
• Substantial experience within process and system design, analysis, process safety and risk assessment are essential.
• Skilled in the use of CAD tools including 2D drafting, and simulation software and tools for process modeling, validation, calculation.
• Familiarity with codes and standards applicable to industrial electrolysis and their related systems would be beneficial.
