The Position

The Joint/Coalition/Exercise Integration Lead is responsible for engaging with and integrating joint and coalition partners into Kessel Run mission areas. This position also works with external organizations such as Combatant Commands and Formal Training Units to meaningfully integrate Kessel Run capabilities into Exercise and Training events. The Joint/Coalition/Exercise Integration Lead is an active, ambitious person who is willing to get their hands dirty to forge new alliances and manage existing partnerships. This position will report to the Test Chief and will align their efforts to the overall testing strategy of Kessel Run.

What you will do

  • Create and implement strategies to maintain long-lasting relationships with Air Force/DoD users and joint & coalition partners
  • Build partnerships that are mutually beneficial to Kessel Run and its partners
  • Work closely with Kessel Run’s lead Commands to define joint, coalition and exercise requirements that enhance the effectiveness of Kessel Run products
  • Handle all external and internal coordination for Kessel Run’s successful participation in external exercises
  • Integrate external partners to the Kessel Run ecosystem where appropriate

Who you are

  • You work closely with cross-functional teams of government, joint and coalition members and are comfortable navigating diverse viewpoints
  • You possess exceptional relationship-building skills and can use creativity to engage with external stakeholders.
  • You have strong ability to synthesize strategic goals and decompose them into team actionables
  • You possess working knowledge of the DoD ecosystem
  • You are a divergent thought leader with a proven track record of analyzing and solving complicated problems and working on fast-paced, highly-collaborative & diverse teams
  • You believe in fostering empathy, self-awareness, self-reflection & psychological safety
  • You have top-quality written and verbal communication skills (e.g., capable of public speaking, changing your messaging based on the audience, etc.)
  • You are comfortable providing advice, recommendations, and guidance with incomplete information
  • You are tirelessly driven toward self- and organizational-improvement.
  • Management experience a plus, but not required
  • You are a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance

This is a Federal civilian service position within the United States Air Force. We are hiring at the equivalent of a GS-13 up to mid GS-14 level for this position. This means you can expect a base salary of $79,468 to $103,309 multiplied by your locality rate, based on your experience. You can find your locality definition here and see the pay tables for the GS scale here. Our headquarters is located in Boston, MA; for a Boston-based employee, this would translate to a range from $102,601 to $133,382.

We also provide paid time off, health, and retirement benefits. There are advancement opportunities to promote to more senior levels after hiring.
