Full-Time SEO Strategist
Job Description
SUMMARY:
Levelwing is seeking a highly motivated person to examine, produce, and measure performance of website content as well as optimize websites through intermediate to advanced optimization tactics.
LOCATIONS:
- We currently have in-person roles located in Charleston, SC and Nashville, TN.
- We also have full-time remote positions in the following states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Texas.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
SEO
- Uncover SEO, search engine, social media and internet marketing industry trends and have an excellent knowledge of effective copywriting for websites.
- Develop link-building and optimization strategies that drive organic search visit performance.
- Deploy local and long-tail search strategies that effectively meet program performance goals.
- Comprehend strategies.
- Maintain SEO content and optimization calendars.
- Monitor and measure organic traffic performance and reporting insights.
- Deliver all re-occurring deliverables which may include diagnostic results, organic search visitor reporting, rank position tracking, on-page optimization recommendations, etc.
- Reference data to inform recommendations.
Copywriting
- Comprehend clients’ value-proposition, products and services, target audience, brand guidelines and opposition content.
- Write and edit text for website and digital campaign content, including curating, amending, revising, or redeveloping content.
- Write product-focused copy that entices and engages customers and highlights product attributes, while also focusing on capturing the customer’s attention and utilizing current SEO techniques.
- Condense complex content into scannable, conversational copy that maintains a consistent
brand voice and tone, while simultaneously communicating important information. - Create content that works seamlessly within the digital space.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Have a passion for the ongoing study of SEO and digital content writing, including platforms used, case studies and successful landing page and content campaign executions and be able to educate and train additional team members on SEO.
- Comprehend SEO best practices, including how technical issues affect the performance of a site on search engines.
- Will be expected to manage SEO scope sales pitches to both existing and prospective Levelwing clients, with sales goals set quarterly.
- Ability to write and edit clear, persuasive, and original copy while meeting deadlines.
- Advanced knowledge of Google’s tools, as well as Bing’s Webmaster tool.
- Possess a functional knowledge of HTML code structure as it relates to SEO.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and projects while not compromising quality.
- Communicate effectively in both written and verbal form.
- Must be extremely detail oriented with strong attention to follow-through.
- PC proficiency and strong skills in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PPT, Excel) essential.
- Must be able to focus for long periods of time at a computer screen given the nature of the digital business.
