Full-Time Communications and Marketing Manager
Job Description
British Swimming is seeking a Communications and Marketing Manager to join our Events & Communications team based in Loughborough, reporting to the Director of Events and Marcomms.
The purpose of the role is to pro-actively manage the day-to-day communication, PR, website and marketing activities of British Swimming and its sports. The Communications and Marketing Manager will need to provide communication leadership to British Swimming through clearly defined strategies and play a key role in event coverage and media management at key national and international events, such as the Olympic Games, World and European Championships.
The individual will have extensive knowledge and experience in the area of sports communications, PR, website management and marketing. They will have a successful track record in delivering high impact PR opportunities and coverage within the sports industry, and experience exploiting new digital technologies to support the delivery of all communications activities.
The post holder is required to be a self-sufficient individual with excellent communication and organisational skills with a flexible approach to working, an ability to work under pressure, an enthusiastic approach and a proven ability to influence.
Knowledge of aquatic sports and experience of working within Government funded organisation would be advantageous.
