About the job
Swell Energy is seeking an Finance and Project Finance Associate to support the corporate finance department and project finance department. You will be a key team member in assisting Swell in executing its financial strategy including working on project finance transactions (tax equity, debt, inventory and construction financing, loans and warehouses and cash equity). Reporting to the CFO, this team member will be integral member of the finance department and have the opportunity to work with other departments on cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities
• Execute capital raising transactions for Swell’s solar and solar plus storage projects (tax equity, debt, inventory and construction financing, loans and warehouses and cash equity)
• Evaluate financing opportunities and potential project acquisitions
• Develop project pricing parameters
• Modeling and financial analysis – be able to create, modify and review different financial, economic, or other models to support strategic funding decisions and transactions
• Own / Co-own modeling infrastructure to prepare all finance related output for board presentations, internal management reviews
• Prepare investor presentations and manage the due diligence process
• Prepare draw / funding packages to show conditions precedent and conditions subsequent being met for financing and funding purposes working closely with Financial Operations to process and manage the drawdown
• Assist in corporate and project finance fundraising activities
• Represent Swell with the highest level of professionalism to investors, partners, and vendors
• In conjunction with Financial Operations / Asset Management, prepare investor / lender reporting requirements

Qualifications
• Ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, results-oriented, and operate well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets and Microsoft PowerPoint / Google Slides
• Proven experience running complex financial models
• An analytical mind with a strategic ability
• The ability to work independently and multi-task
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Bachelors in accounting, finance or relevant field
• Experience in the renewable energy space, investment banking, consulting, infrastructure, or power and utilities is a plus (2+ years)
• Experience with tax equity or project finance
• Ability to abide by and positively influence the information secure culture at Swell Energy.
