Job Description

“This role is currently work-from-home and will move to the office environment after the COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.”

This position is accountable for executing against the materials planning requirements in support of production schedules for existing and new products, tech transfers and design changes. This individual will also be responsible for acquiring a thorough knowledge base related to Client planning operations, policies and procedures to ensure appropriate alignment is achieved.

1. Generate purchase requisitions against raw material and consumable material requirements as driven by demand, system schedules and Senior Planner guidance
2. Assist in review, planning and prioritization of the delivery of raw materials & consumables to meet target dates and prevent stock shortages.
3. Manage inventory by maintaining optimum on hand quantity of materials and assist in SAP ordering strategies and master data, reorder point, safety stocks and fixed lot sizes as required.
4. Identify when to write off excess or obsolete materials.
5. Identify stock out scenarios, check with manufacturing support for alternatives, and escalate to key stakeholders as applicable.
6. Support projects (e.g., tech transfers, SAP improvements) and continuous improvement activities
7. Serves as support coordinator of the end to end material release process for incoming materials required to meet the demands of manufacturing process.
8. Assist in metric development and maintenance for SC Tiers, Materials Planning and Receipt to release process (receiving, sampling, testing, release capacity).
9. Escalate the resolution of issues preventing material incoming, receipt or release
• BA/BS in Business Administration, Supply chain, Engineering or Sciences or equivalent experience.
• 2-4 years of work-related experience in Supply Chain, Quality or Manufacturing with emphasis in Production Planning/ Scheduling, Materials Analysis, and Inventory Control is required.
• Understanding of lab testing methods (quality control), planning knowledge, knowledge of lean methodology, and cGMP. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred
• Proficient in SAP
• Lean Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt experience is desirable.
• Professional (CPIM, CSCP APICS) certification is desirable.
• Excellent communications and computer skills with a demonstrated proficiency with MS, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
• Ability to work independently and participate in cross functional teams and projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities against ambitious timelines.
