Job Description

Terminus is seeking an accomplished Engineering Manager for our Data Platform & Engineering team to help us build an industry leading Go-to-Market platform that allows sales and marketing to do ABM at scale. This role will be pivotal in helping our teams build, scale, and deliver the best-in-class GTM platform on the market to our customers.

You will manage and lead our Data Platform and Engineering team focused on building a robust, scalable data platform and processing pipelines for Engineering and Product teams to leverage across all of Terminus’ products and services. You will be responsible for leading the development and management of existing data resources and services, implementing new technologies and tooling to further expand and enable our data platform as well as drive scalable data engineering practices.

Responsibilities:

• Hire exceptional engineers and people and provide technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team members
• Participate in key technical design discussions with technical leads in the team as a hands on manager
• Partner with key stakeholders to prioritize work and build products and services to support our data platform
• Act as a program and project manager for all the projects that your team is responsible for delivering to customers
• Provide technical leadership to our team by providing guidance on designs and coding when time allows

Qualifications:

• 5+ years managing, leading and scaling SaaS based Engineering teams
• 7+ years in software engineering with experience in one or more of the following: Scala, Python, Go, Java, C# or Ruby
• Experience in Data Engineering in large scale, high volume data warehouse environments
• Experience with AWS services:  Glue, Athena, and/or Elasticsearch
• Experience with Big Data Technologies:  Spark, Hadoop, and/or Hive
• Experience with data processing pipelines (batch and streaming)
• Experience running production systems on a major cloud provider
• Experience in building, maintaining and monitoring distributed services and systems
• Experience with various ETL technologies and familiar with ETL tools
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others

Preferred experience with the following:

• Visualization, data mining, or statistical tools
• Solid understanding of both relational and NoSQL database technologies
• AWS technologies and/or other cloud based providers
• Docker in a production environment
• Experience with Kubernetes
