Project Director, Pension, Payroll & Employee Benefits Transformation Program

24 Months, full-time position—Toronto, ON

 

Reporting to the Director, Pension, Payroll & Employee Benefits, you’ll provide strategic direction, leadership and operational support for the Pension, Payroll & Employee Benefits (PPEB) transformation, integration and re-organization of the service delivery of the division’s program. You’ll also led the implementation of transformative change across the division and provide direction, leadership and guidance to implement the proposed organizational structure and to ensure it is aligned with the strategic direction of the organization.

 

As the Project Director, Pension, Payroll & Employee Benefits Transformation Program, you’ll develop and implement functional policies that make major changes in overall business performance, direct all activities of the team, and develop, recommend and administer the team’s annual budget. Leading a diverse workforce, you’ll lead the divisional Transformation Office and identify, develop and implement project management plans to integrate the ways in which the division delivers interventions to improve efficiencies at the City.

 

The responsibilities of this position will include working with senior staff in developing a future state operating model for the division, developing project management strategies for effective organizational transformation, and recruiting/managing the divisional teams responsible for the execution of all strategies. You’ll also lead integration initiatives from conception through all stages of development and work with the division head, the executive team, the Steering Committee and all stakeholders to achieve project goals.

 

Providing updates and reports on the project progress to the Steering Committee, you’ll direct the implementation of divisional change management strategies and provide leadership and oversight to multi-disciplinary project teams. Overall, you’ll foster the development of an organizational culture that focuses on delivering exceptional outcome-focused services.

 

Your success in this role will be supported by your extensive experience directing, leading and/or guiding transformation projects in a large public or private sector organization using project management methodology and tools. You also bring to the position considerable experience in working with executives, sponsors and senior management teams to meet large-scale divisional organizational information technology initiatives. You have proven success in contract negotiations, managing contracts from inception to closure, and managing business and technical teams and resources. You also possess vast experience in establishing and maintaining partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure program success.

 

Salary Range: $128, 728.60 – $151, 278.40 per annum
