The Proud Trust is a lifesaving and life enhancing organisation that helps young LGBT+ people empower themselves to make a positive change for themselves and their communities. We do this through youth groups; one-to-one support; managing the LGBT+ Centre for Manchester; delivery of training and events; campaigns; undertaking research and creating resources.
Youth Work Assistant – Cheshire West and Chester
We are seeking a keen Youth Worker to join our team.
This vacancy is for: 6 hours per week 12 months fixed term (with potential to extend the role, funding dependent) or two roles at 3 hours each.
Full time equivalent rate of £17,901.00 or £9.18 per hour.
About the role
You will be joining a caring and dedicated team, passionate about opportunities for lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans inclusion and equality, and to safeguard all people we work with.
You will support the delivery of a dynamic, fun and accessible programme of youth and community work. This will include sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. There is one a session a fortnight in each of the four following locations: Chester, Ellesmere Port, Winsford and Northwich. We hope to move this work into face-to face again soon, but currently is being delivered digitally due to COVID-19.
Successful applicants will need to be legally allowed to work in the UK, will need to undertake an enhanced DBS check and will need to provide references.
