Temporary Women & Girls Development Manager
Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Women and Girls Development Manager. In this role you will drive participation of women and girls’ football. You’ll play a part in developing new programmes and initiatives alongside managing the LFC Regional Talent Centres. You will also undertake safeguarding duties for the RTC, experience of safeguarding is imperative for this role.
What will you be doing?
- Manage, develop, and deliver the LFC women and girls programmes in line with all requirements set by funders. This includes developing delivery plans, managing budgets, providing risk assessments, monitoring and evaluation data capture and report writing
- Keep abreast with regional, national, and international strategy related to key areas of work
- Support across other LFC programmes and projects where required
- To oversee the LFC Foundation development of women and girl’s football
- To create a best-in-class operations of the Regional Talent Centres
- Ensure officials, transport, and logistics are organised for each fixture across the RTC and all admin duties are completed on match day
- Ensure the RTC meets all Licence requirements
- Ensure all player and staff logs are up to date, including player registrations
- Ensure all Service Level Agreements are up to date and submitted on time
- Build and develop effective relationships with stakeholders
- Effectively line manage direct reports through providing support, performance development and day to day line management administration
- Ensure LFC Foundation quality and safeguarding standards are achieved and always maintained
- Support with recruitment in line with safer recruitment policies
Who are we looking for?
To be successful you will have previous experience in a talent development role and ideally within sports club/development environment, including experience working with young people. You’ll have a thorough understanding of the education and welfare provision and an awareness of diversity and equality challenges in football. You will have a proven track record of consistent high performance in a professional environment.
You’ll have strong leadership skills, including strong IT and project management skills. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and have the ability to work flexibly, including weekends and independent travel. You’ll show an empathy and commitment to the long-term development of the game.

This is a full-time temporary role working 35 hours per week 5 from 7 days with some evening and weekend work required. This role is based in the Anfield Sports and Community Centre in Liverpool; however, the post holder will be required to work from other locations across Merseyside
