The City of Camas is seeking a Wastewater Operations Supervisor. The individual selected for this position will supervise, assign, review and participate in the work of staff responsible for the operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant, sewage pump stations and related equipment; ensure compliance with NPDES permit requirements and State and Federal water quality regulations; ensure work quality and adherence to established policies and procedures; coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, outside agencies and the general public; and provide highly responsible and complex staff assistance to the Public Works Director. The position is full time, Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm and is a non-represented position. Remote work opportunities are limited due to the nature of the position.
Candidates for this position shall have:
- CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED: Possession of a valid Washington State Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator’s Grade IV certificate as required by the Department of Ecology within 6 months of date of hire
- Education equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by specialized training in wastewater treatment plant operations and/or maintenance, or a related field
- Four years of increasingly responsible experience in the maintenance and operation of a wastewater treatment plant and pumping facility, including at least two years of administrative and supervisory responsibility
