Full-Time VP, Talent Acquisition
Job Description
The VP, Talent Acquisition is responsible for developing and designing talent acquisition strategies in partnership with the Chief Talent Officer for Wellforce Health System. The leader will enable the organization to attract, engage, evaluate, and hire the exceptional talent needed to drive its business strategies. This includes the design of a new and transformational, multi-year talent plan that will allow talent acquisition to meet the organization’s mission, vision, values and long-term business strategy.
The leader will partner with stakeholders across Wellforce including system executives, local c-suite teams, physician chiefs / chairs and senior teams for input and sponsorship for the transformation of talent acquisition. The Vice President will also help build, develop and retain a high-performing talent acquisition team with partnerships that support the evolution of the organization’s strategies, programs and services.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the CHRO, Chief Talent Officer and Executive Leaders to develop and implement a strategic talent acquisition strategy that aligns with Wellforce’s business objectives
- Lead a multi-year Talent Acquisition Transformation to include a re-imagination of end-to-end recruiting services, strategies and services to allow for improvements in sourcing, hiring, retention and an ability to scale to meet business needs.
- Create and implement a talent acquisition strategy that delivers excellence across the talent lifecycle, including attracting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding talent
- Ensure that the talent acquisition function is adept, scalable, streamlined, and well aligned with the vision and goals of the enterprise
- Functions as an engaged, trusted partner with HR and business leaders. Serves as a thought leader on sourcing, assessment and selection techniques to ensure a highly effective, results-oriented recruiting and selection process.
- Provide leadership to the enterprise-wide talent acquisition team for all clinical and non-clinical employees, ensuring a strong recruiting culture focused on candidate experience, diversity, timeliness, and quality, while meeting the demanding hiring needs of the enterprise
- Assess and diagnose organizational needs relative to business performance gaps, and design and implement talent acquisition strategies to address and resolve these gaps.
- Determine with a collaborative approach KPIs and SLA’s for talent acquisition across the Wellforce system
- Partner with the Office of Diversity and Inclusion regarding recruitment initiatives for diverse talent, and create a formal D&I recruitment strategy that includes implementing strategic plans to improve the candidate experience, maintain a pipeline of candidates, and establish goals/metrics related to D&I talent acquisition;
- Engaging in rigorous problem-solving definition, data collection, and analysis, then making impactful and concise decisions in the face of uncertainty and ambiguity
- Manage employer branding, job site optimization, and innovative candidate sourcing strategies; and
- Ensures the talent acquisition team is viewed as a trusted and collaborative partner.
- Drives team performance with a sense of urgency without compromising on excellence with a commitment to achieving results.
- Ensures compliance with related audit requirements (e.g., record retention, EEO capture, etc.).
- Develops deep knowledge about the organization’s business model and the consumer, competitive, political, and social environments in which the organization operates, and understanding the importance of actively engaging with and shaping these environments
- Builds upon our foundation of talent acquisition analytics and reporting, ensuring the talent acquisition team has access to and is versed in utilizing data to influence others and make decisions at the overall function level, as well as at the individual search level.
- Serve as a partner to business leaders in providing consultation on talent acquisition strategies and challenges, and coaching them to broaden their outlook, as appropriate, beyond traditional recruiting targets and techniques
- Demonstrate personal accountability for developing future generations of the organization’s leaders who reflect the diversity of the communities the organization serves
- Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in business administration, HR, organization psychology, or a related field is required
- 15+ years in Human Resources and a successful track record of developing talent acquisition strategies that increase the overall performance of the organization and workforce.
- 15+ years of management experience and proven ability to lead and develop a team of high-performing talent acquisition recruiters
- Proven experience in developing and evolving talent acquisition strategies while appropriately utilizing, vendors, technology, and methodologies
- Previous experience leading a healthcare organization utilizing 3rd party recruiting resources.
- Experience working with and recommending creative recruitment tools, technologies, and platforms to enhance process efficiencies
- Exceptional business acumen and business management skills including planning, program/project management, financial management, and translating business requirements into organization and individual development requirements.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, benefits, teammate relations, and Offices of Diversity and Inclusion
- Self-initiating, independent thinker who can develop and market both long-term business strategies and short-term tactical plans with a focus on execution. This is a role of influence, and a balance between strategy and tactics is critical.
- Strong change management communication experience, managing large scale changes at a system level.
- Ability to work in a matrixed, high paced environment
- Proven track record in leading HR transformation efforts, including building teams, driving innovation and improving value and cost.
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions; system integration experience
- Experience improving systems and processes, building credibility with line clients, focusing on continuous improvement, measurement and best practice assessment
