Full-Time VP, Physical Security Manager (Req#2260)
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages execution of the program functions, including Security audit, Security exam and Security SOX reporting in collaboration with senior members of General Service, Enterprise Risk Management, Audit.
- Manages the annual Security control testing and program for first-line Security.
- Incorporate new and emerging standards and best practices into the Security Risk Management program.
- Effectively manage and document new self-identified issues, assist in the closing of documented findings and management of exceptions in collaboration with other members of the security teams.
- Ensure the program is understood and woven into the culture of the bank through the effectively delivery of communications and training.
- Work with ERM in development of Eastern’s GRC platform for related work while promoting greater visibility within General Services and across the bank.
- Manage Security’s business continuity plan in collaboration with ERM.
Key Attributes:
- The Business Resilience & Security Manager must be creative, detail oriented and highly analytical with key attention for completing deliverables on a timely basis.
- Minimal supervision required with the ability to coordinate problem resolutions in an efficient and effective manner.
- Strong technical and process expertise with the experience to build trusting relationships across an organization. Proven collaborative approach; openly sharing information and receptive to the ideas of others.
- Effective communicator who can convey important messages in a clear and compelling manner.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in a security, risk, audit and/or examination role in the Financial Services industry, or equivalent
- Collaborative and flexible approach working within a complex and entrepreneurial organization.
- Experience with structured control and process frameworks and methodologies.
- Experience working with second and third-line functions and regulatory examiners.
- Relevant certifications and/or other education desirable.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
