Temporary Voter Contact Field Director
Job Description
About The Outreach Team
The Outreach Team is a premier national field firm. We partner with organizations working to solve some of the biggest problems facing our society — from protecting human rights to fighting climate change — and help them build the resources they need to make an impact. We are a people-powered enterprise; our campaigns are effective because we hire diverse teams of talented people, invest in our staff, and treat them well.
We are hiring Lead & Deputy Field Directors to manage our office in San Francisco. Lead and Deputy Field Directors will recruit, train, and manage a team of local canvassers who will do door to door voter contact work to re-elect Mayor Breed, and elect Supervisor candidates who will partner with the Mayor in her second term. Directors will work with their team to build an office to scale from the ground up. All directors are expected to train staff in the field while leading by example themselves; they must also communicate long and short term goals to staff and manage campaign reporting. Deputy Directors manage field staff and Team Leads and report to the Lead Director.
In Mayor Breed’s historic first term she successfully led the city through the COVID pandemic, reduced crime to a ten year low, and helped thousands of San Franciscans exit homelessness, all while increasing shelter capacity and affordable housing. But the job isn’t done. In her second term, Mayor Breed will continue the city’s ambitious efforts to combat the housing crisis while revitalizing downtown and continue progress towards making San Francisco one of the safest cities in America. In order to help Mayor Breed achieve these goals we need to have thousands of conversations with San Franciscans across the city about the stakes of the upcoming mayoral election and why a second term for Mayor Breed is the best decision for San Francisco.
We are hiring immediately. This position can run through November 5, 2024, with opportunities to extend.
