Position Summary
The Visiting Research Specialist will perform research functions for the Vitoux Program on Aging and Prevention. The position will work across multi-disciplinary functional areas, including respiratory health, behavioral medicine, and nutritional science to lead and coordinate the components of the research.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the processes and procedures for participant recruitment, informed consent, data collection, and retention.
- Oversee, manage, and implement biospecimen protocols within the overall scope of the research project.
- Manage and maintain accurate study records as well as updates on the study Manual of Procedures.
- Oversee and manage log of participant payments.
- Train and supervise junior staff and student research interns on day-to-day project needs.
- Assist Director of Clinical Research Operations with the evaluation and monitoring of study progress and timeline.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social science or related field required. Master’s degree in social science preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years related research experience.
- Possesses and applies advanced knowledge of research principles, concepts, practices and methods
