Position Summary
The Visiting Research Specialist provides expert level oversight and management of federally funded maternal health projects. This position will coordinate all maternal health training and community engagement efforts.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee training and community engagement efforts focused on improving maternal health in Illinois.
- Supervision of staff participating in related research.
- Organize training and community engagement data; assist with data analysis and contribute to writing of scientific manuscripts and/or grant proposals.
- Provide oversight of IRB compliance and submit required IRB materials as needed.
- Provide data for correspondence with the funding agency including the submission of progress reports and updates on project reporting.
- Collaborate with the research team to develop outreach, implement protocols, and evaluate outcomes.
- Other related research study duties as assigned.
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social science or related field required. Master’s degree in social science preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years related research experience.
- Possesses and applies advanced knowledge of research principles, concepts, practices and methods
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, public health, or a related health science field required. Master’s degree preferred.
