Job Summary
This position contributes to the design and delivery of research projects and collaborates with researchers to develop, execute and interpret research projects. Performs complex laboratory and data collection techniques.
Job Responsibilities
- Mouse breeding and genotyping; involving injections into mice, administration of anesthesia, performing minor surgery, euthanasia of mice, collecting organs, tissues and cells from mice
- Western blot, ELISA analysis and qRT-PCR
- Tissue and cell culture work under sterile conditions; preparation and processing of tissues and cells
- Flow cytometric analysis
- Culturing endothelial cells, performing angiogenic assays such as tube formation and scratch assay
- Cultivating osteoclasts from human and murine cells
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in science or related field required. Master’s degree in science preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years related research experience.
- Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of research principles, concepts, practices and methods.
- Proficient in specific lab research techniques.
