The successful candidate will participate in both scientific research and management of junior personnel in the lab. Our research focus is on elucidating mechanisms underlying neuronal lysosome formation and function and the pathological mechanisms underlying their dysfunction in neurodegenerative diseases including Alzheimer’s disease, complex forms of Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia (HSPs) and Tauopathies as well as ALS and Huntington’s disease. Experimental procedures include molecular and cellular biology, cloning, transfection, immunochemistry, histology, microscopy and small animal dissections.
