Salary:  The previously determined salary range for this position was $55,000 to $58,000. We strive to provide a competitive salary, considering factors such as available market data, internal equity, candidate experience and qualifications, and budget constraints. Position Summary
The Visiting Research Associate provides research coordination and support of the research of Dr. Saul Weiner and other unit PIs.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • 1) Collaborate with Principal Investigator and project manager to develop objectives and design of research projects and proposals.
  • 2) Formulate and conduct scientific experiments and analyses. Analyze and evaluate test and research results.
  • 3) Replicate, Refine and add new research approaches based on project needs. Test, customize and implement new methods, procedures and techniques.
  • 4) Coordinate and support site activities including interfacing with the SP simulation center unit.
  • 5) Coordinate SP visits and manage IRB and other administrative duties under the supervision of project manager.
  • 6) Monitor project developments on an ongoing basis.
  • 7) Guide, train and advise volunteers and students on techniques, methods and procedures.
  • 8) Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social science or related field required.
  • Knowledge of fundamental research concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Entry level knowledge of research methods.
