Position Overview

The Data Scientist within the Advanced Analytics Team of the commercial organization will be accountable for supporting the development of advanced analytical models to solve challenging business problems.  The individual will work with multi-disciplinary teams to understand the needs of the business and ensure that model outputs are translated into actionable business insights.

Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to understand business needs and translate them into well-defined analytical projects.

  • Collaborate with analytics leaders and cross-functional teams to identify business challenges suitable for advanced analytics solutions.
  • Utilize hands-on data exploration, coding and analytical skills to undercover insights from data and develop advanced analytical models.
  • Support senior data scientists in the delivery of advanced analytics projects working with internal and external partners
  • Apply a broad array of modeling techniques, including driver analyses, machine learning, and traditional statistics, to derive actionable insights from structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Integrate analytical outputs with real-world and digital data streams to address multi-channel analytics, patient pathways, omni-channel segmentation, and next best action strategies.
  • Foster an agile and collaborative culture, closely aligning with the business to deliver timely solutions to key priorities.
  • Develop PowerPoint reports of your model findings that are explainable, linked to business insights and present those findings back to business partners
  • Communicate technical subject matter clearly and concisely to various audiences.
  • Continuously learn new analytical skills, techniques, and tools to maintain a competitive advantage. Participate actively in internal technology communities.

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in relevant fields such as programming, statistics, or data science
  • Experience working with large datasets (structured and unstructured).
  • Experience in data management basics (SQL queries, database connections), data preparation, statistical learning (regression analyses, dimensionality reduction, etc.), and ML algorithms.
  • Experience in Python or R.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • A 4-year or Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Marketing, or Life Sciences.
  • Understanding of various data structures and common methods in data transformation.
  • Demonstrated initiative, judgment, and discretion in handling data.
  • Experience with dashboard tools such as Tableau or PowerBI is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Statistical techniques such as Market mix modelling, Test control analysis, A/B testing, Promo response models, Optimization a strong plus
  • Experience working in Microsoft Azure Databricks
