This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced FE professional to join an ambitious college as Vice Principal Commercial and Adult Provision, a senior team role reporting directly to the Principal. The post holder will:
- Lead on all aspects of Commercial and Adult Provision, with particular focus on leading Apprenticeships, Higher Education and Community Learning
- Lead on the development of a college culture that embraces employer engagement, and provides first class opportunities for all students across the college to gain commercial experiences
- Lead the college-wide income generation strategy, including identifying opportunities for grants and bids and taking the lead on bid writing · With the VP Curriculum and Quality, lead curriculum development across the college
In common with other members of the senior team, the postholder will share corporate responsibility for decisions affecting the College and will play an important part in the wider leadership of a complex organisation.
This is an ideal role for an experienced senior manager who is passionate about students, teaching, learning and assessment, and the difference that FE makes to the lives of students, communities and the economy. You will have a background in work-based learning, higher education or community/ adult learning and passion for supporting students to gain commercial experiences. You will have the capability and never-ending enthusiasm necessary to lead the College-wide approach to employer engagement and income generation. You will be able to develop efficient but highly effective and inspiring curriculum delivery models and will be able to contribute effectively to creating a vibrant college culture that embraces change as a positive tool for improvement.
