Full-Time Vice President, Lead Technology Risk Manager (Remote)

Job Description

The Lead Technology Risk Manager  is a role within the Global Technology Risk function of BNY Mellon. This is a 2nd line risk function accountable for the oversight, credible challenge of technology risks.   The candidate will utilize deep technical expertise and risk management experience to challenge / advise on technology risks to strengthen the front line.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the 1st Line of defense and assess their compliance with enterprise level Technology Risk in all matters of Digital Assets Custodian Technology and Blockchain related technologies in general.
  • Apply understanding of systems and solutions architecture, data architecture, software development, operations, system life cycle, technical controls, etc. to anticipate technology risks inherent to the assigned areas of technology.
  • Lead the assessment, monitoring and reporting on technology risks inherent to business activities, including digital blockchain, cyber, information security and technology risk concepts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Minimum 8+ years of total work experience
  • Relevant professional certifications, such as CISSP, CISM would be a plus.
  • Ability to take ownership of projects and drive them forward in a collaborative manner.
  • Must be articulate, organized, able to work in a collaborative manner and comfortable managing multiple tasks at the same time.
  • Hands-on experience with any of the following is desired: Blockchain, Digital Assets, Cloud, Big Data, Insider Threat technologies, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning.
  • Understanding of the crypto currency and broader digital assets market would be helpful.
  • Appetite for learning is also a must – opportunity to work on state of the art technologies and participate in associated industry forms.
