Description
Mediavine is seeking a UX Director, who has experience in Digital Advertising and Website Development, to join our Product team. We are looking for someone with a primary focus on UX who can also supervise and help grow our Design team. Applicants must be based in the United States.

Position Title & Overview:
The UX Director will oversee a team of designers who are responsible for the design and user experience of our products. This is a great opportunity to have a lot of variety in the projects you oversee and to tackle some interesting design challenges. Our workload includes consumer features, such as our Grow and our O&O properties. We also build B2B tools that allow publishers to customize our products and provide data visualization against their KPIs. This position reports into the VP of Product and you will collaborate closely with the Product team and Engineering. We believe that providing context for other teams is critical. The Design team is expected to be able to present their work directly to stakeholders such as the Client Services/Support team and Marketing to help them understand the design decisioning process.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Connect UX best practices and production execution.
- Developing UX/UI wireframe flows, frameworks, and app interface designs for front end production.
- Present concepts and final designs to key stakeholders, including the support and marketing teams to establish common understanding of the design decisions and feature workflow.
- Contribute to design specifications and help evolve our design systems.
- Work closely with the development team to ensure the designs are accurately implemented.
- Work with the Product team to develop a user research strategy that allows us to have both initial and continuous feedback.
- Mentor junior designers on the team.
Requirements
Location:
- Applicants must be based in the United States.
You Have:
- 10+ years of relevant work in Digital UX and Design (web and mobile)
- 4+ years of experience leading design teams ideally remotely
- 2+ years of experience using Figma
- Experience in designing, developing, prototyping, and implementing web and mobile applications
- Experience designing administrative tools that control feature settings, as well as performance visualization tools (e.g. dashboard)
- Experience working in an Agile environment
Nice to haves:
- Experience with MUI
- WordPress (especially Guttenberg)
- Jira
- User Research
- Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
- Familiar with blogging
