Summary
HMRC are introducing an undergraduate intern placement scheme starting in 2020. This placement will give you a true flavour of working in HMRC, and what will be in store for you should you join the organisation. You will learn “hands-on” skills that University can’t really teach. It is a fantastic learning opportunity for you.
You’ll work in a real working environment and have a role and responsibilities from day one. You’ll gain vital skills, behaviours and knowledge and have support throughout your placement from your manager and colleagues.
To be eligible for these placements you must:
• be studying towards an undergraduate degree and eligible for a ‘sandwich’ intern year or taking a gap year;
• be available to work in Nottingham or Liverpool throughout the whole period of the placement;
• be fluent in English;
Job description
HMRC’s Fraud Investigation Service (FIS) is responsible for the Departments civil and criminal investigations. FIS ensures that HMRC has an effective approach to tackling the most serious tax evasion and fraud.
In FIS Learning we are responsible for the administration of all learning and development requirements for staff in FIS to design and deliver bespoke learning specific to the business
Responsibilities
You will play a critical role in show-casing how learning can support all areas of the business by working with customers and experts to ensure learning products designed are fit for purpose.
What we are looking for?
A creative and motivated applicant who will take a fresh and innovative approach to design using new methods and technologies to ensure learning is informative, engaging and interactive.
You will be a proficient user of Microsoft Office 365 suite including applications such as Teams, Planner, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and One Note and have advanced knowledge on the application of formulas within Microsoft Excel.
