Job Description Summary
Under the supervision of a supervisor, this position is responsible for the maintenance and servicing of Ag Service’s fleet of trucks, trailers, and fork trucks. This position will be performing preventative maintenance and occasionally be used for emergency maintenance calls. This position will be required to perform all Autonomous Manufacturing Development (AMD) activities as needed.
Job Description
- Perform regular diagnostic tests on trucks
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers, and forklifts including inspections, tire rotation, greasing, and oil changes
- Perform minor repairs on trucks and trailers
- Repair or replace malfunctioning components, parts, and other mechanical or electrical equipment
- Collaborate with team to diagnose problems with vehicles and plan repairs
- Follow a checklist of inspection procedures
- Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles in OmniTracs system
- Read and interpret diagnostic test results from diagnostic equipment
- Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in the shop
- Keeps all tools and equipment not in use in their assigned locations.
- Aides in the training of newer employees as directed by the supervisory staff
- Other duties may be assigned by supervisors as needed
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and have a minimum of 2 years automotive mechanical experience or any equivalent combination of education, or training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
