About The Position: The division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion leads the campus community to make diversity, equity and inclusion a priority in the way college functions through support of intentional actions. As a division, we are committed to offering a range of programs, policies, and practices that engage with the unique range of human experiences each individual enriches our campus with. SUNY Plattsburgh is now host to one of 48 Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation (TRHT) Campus Centers nationwide and the only SUNY campus to be selected. Working within the newly established TRHT Center this position will work to address the complex trauma of BIPOC students, staff and faculty. This position’s responsibilities are expected to include providing trauma-informed therapy with a focus on survivors of sexual assault; Building relationships with emergency and other mental health service organizations to better support those of minoritized and marginalized groups; And being an integral part of training led by the Executive Director that will allow cross-functional campus constituent allies to facilitate healing circles. As this is grant funded, this position is for 1 year with the possibility of renewal if ongoing funding is identified.
