Full-Time Translation Assessment Coordinator

ASSESSMENT, REPORTING, & DATA SUPPORT (AR&D)

Traditional 235 work days

FTE: 1.0

Salary Range: $24.03 – $29.22/hour

Essential Functions and Objectives:

Supports individuals, teams and/or departments through facilitating and regulating a series of activities and work streams. Carries out specific tasks based on established procedures, to ensure a broader set of priorities and objectives are met. Primary focus on execution of assigned tasks in a specific area of responsibility, with a non-technical scope and a high degree of customer service. 

Leads test development for Spanish literacy and World Language assessments. Supports test development and administration of District assessments, Student Learning Objective (SLO) resources, and creation of documents, including images, and training materials. Supports department with product support operations. Communicates regularly with schools to ensure appropriate testing procedures are being followed, including managing Site Assessment Leader (SAL) communication, designation, and training. Assists in administration and scoring of language proficiency assessments. 

Translates District items, assessments, and resources into Spanish in collaboration with the English Language Acquisition (ELA) department.

Utilizes and supports implementation of the student data and assessment platform (Illuminate DnA); loads items, assessments, and resources, including curricular resources for schools, and ensures proper sharing permissions.

Develops assessment items to be used on District assessments and in the District item bank; develops model Student Learning Objective (SLOs) and learning progressions for content area assigned.

Supports team with assessment resource preparation, development, review, and production.

Owns the Online Ordering Application and coordinates orders with the processing center.

Owns, revises, and distributes Site Assessment Leader (SAL) lists.

Serves as communication lead for SALs.

Assists schools with student data and assessment platform support during assessment windows.

Assists in administration and scoring of language proficiency assessments.

Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:

Five (5) or more years of related work experience is required.

Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish (Bilingual required).

Proficiency with Google Suite.

Effective time management and organizational skills.

Strong attention to detail and skill in interpreting assessment data.

Ability to produce high volume of high quality work products for use in assessment and reporting.

Effectively handles multiple demands and competing deadlines.

Ability to problem solve, perform analytical work, and take initiative.

Demonstrated success in working collaboratively on a team and with other professional staff at all levels.

Demonstrated skill proofing documents for production and creating online materials.

High degree of integrity in handling confidential information.

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED is required.

Associate’s Degree is preferred.

The Assessment, Research & Data Support Department (AR&D) provides expertise and guidance in the collection, analysis, and communication of academic results to teachers, district leadership, families, and the community. We serve as a resource for test development, proper administration procedures, data collection, reporting, and analysis to inform instruction and improve student achievement.
